Confrontation or Staying Away?

Regardless of what your method when it comes to dealing with others is in the form of confrontation, going up to someone about a matter can be hard. You can dread if for days, weeks or even years! However, being direct is important; no one enjoys having feelings linger within your heart and soul for a long amount of time. So, when you may have been passive for too long it can be extremely liberating to just let the other person know about your feelings. So, you can't have fear stand in your way. A good way to lower the stress about this is by role playing a situation with a friend who can give you feedback. Or you can even do this with a mirror if you’re nowhere close to your friends or if they are busy.

On the other hand, maybe your friends are people who you no longer enjoy being around but that’s okay! Especially if these are the same friends you have had since you graduated high school or university. It’s a very natural thing to outgrow those you used to be extremely close with. Maybe your taste in comedic humor has changed, or even your taste in movies or books. Maybe you noticed a group of people would try to lead you down towards having bad habits.

Whatever your reason is for wanting to either confront these people or staying away from them, just know, it’s okay!
