Ramadan is upon us again

May this month be a holy one full of good deeds and intentions to every KhaleejiGirl across the GCC and the wider world.

This Ramadan, will be an unusual one. One where yes, the whole world is going through Covid 19 and its effects, but also unlike this time last year, one where we need to be more careful than ever. As the cases are jumping all over the place in my native country of Bahrain, I believe we need to dial things down a bit.

A @KhaleejiGirl shouldn’t risk going to large family gatherings as she did when she did when she was younger because as we’ve all read, this is where most of the cases occur. So, why not have a virtual futoor with family members? That way, you can celebrate with those who live across the street but without risking any ramifications from this virus.

If a KhaleejiGirl were to do this, it could actually be in her favor in more than one way. Yes, hopefully no one will get the corona, but a @KhaleejiGirl wouldn’t also spend many hours in the kitchen cooking for as many people as she may have in the past. This way, the amount of money the @KhaleejiGirl consumer will spend will increases by 53% overall during this holy month of Ramadan; increased consumer time is mostly on household goods (90%) (source: Google Insights 2018).
